A little bit about me
I was born and raised in Austin, TX, a city that, like me, has evolved over time. Growing up, I was always focused on performing at a certain level to achieve academic success. I earned an MPA from The University of Texas at Austin, started a career in public accounting, and passed the CPA exam. Yet, I soon realized that the day-to-day life of an accountant didn’t align with who I truly am, leaving me with more questions than answers. Therapy provided the space I needed to explore these questions and reconnect with the parts of myself I had neglected and numbed in pursuit of external success. Embracing both courage and fear, I returned to school and earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saybrook University. This personal transformation through therapy continues to be life-changing.
As a therapist, I am rooted in a person-centered approach, believing you are the expert of your own life. I offer reflections and tools in a safe, confidential space, but you decide what resonates. Together, we can apply deeper self-understanding to create balance and fulfillment in your life. No topic is off limits and no topic will be discussed without your consent.
Having been raised in an evangelical household but no longer religious, I understand the impact of leaving a religious identity behind.
I deeply value the lessons of animals and nature without ever uttering a word in the English language. I enjoy using imagery and metaphors and bring a nurturing, playful, and creative energy to therapy.
Ultimately, this is your space, and I’m excited to see where you take it.
